TERROR IN INDIA - NORTH & SOUTH

Tamilnadu Politicians are Clowns!

There is wide spread criticism against the uttering of Mr. Ponseka, Sri Lankan Army chief. He called Tamil Nadu politicians as Clowns. I do not know why he called them so. But I can compare the reactions of Indian politicians against terrorism, supposedly sponsored by Pakistan and Terrorism by LTTE, and come to some conclusions about the above uttering.

Lashkar- e-Toiba. The terror outfit functioning in Pakistan demonstrated their cowardism in Mumbai, recently. The Indian government ministers did not know any clue how to react to these acts.

So they first they said that it was sponsored by ISI, which is a Pakistan government agency. They also pointed links of Pakistan army in the execution of this act. But the ministers immediately retracted their statement by saying that ISI and Pak army are not under the control of Pak Government. The ministers also want Pak government to handover the suspected terrorist acting from Pakistan. But Pak is saying even if proved, Pak will not handover the militants. There is also a talk of attacking the hide out of militants in Pakistan which is also suggested by Mr. Obama.

On the other hand the Sri Lankan government is fighting against LTTE. LTTE is linked to Mr. Rajiv Gandhi’s assassination which took place in Tamil nadu. LTTE is also a banned outfit in India. The leader of LTTE Prabhakaran is a person wanted by Indian government. But Sri Lanka could not catch him. But assures that if he is caught they will hand over him to India. But it is possible for India to catch Prabhakaran for which Sri Lanka government would give all support. But India is not taking any step in that direction.

There is a clear contradiction in the actions of Indian politicians in the two issues.

Terrorism By Lashkar e Toiba

Operating from Pakistan
Fights for separate Kashmir
Executed terror actions India
Lashkar e Toiba do not kill fellow militants of various groups fighting for separate Kashmir
Believed to have support of Pak government
Pakistan could lay its hand on these terrorists.
India wants the terrorists to be handed over to India, But Pakistan refuses to do so.
India talks of war or attack in militant hide out in Pakistan But fears escalation of tension between countries.
The Tamil nadu politicians who met Prime minister recently pressurized him to stop war against LTTE.
All politicians support Muslims

Terrorism by LTTE.
Operating from Sri Lanka.
Fights for separate Elam
Executed terror actions in India
LTTE killed all fellow militant groups and also non militants of Tamils.
Sri Lanka government is against LTTE’s terror actions.
Sri Lankan government could not do so.
India wants LTTE leader Prabhakaran to be caught, Sri Lanka assures to hand him over if he is caught.
No such talk, but India can easily catch Prabhakaran and Sri Lanka government is also willing to extend help.
The same parties hold cabinet posts in the present government and want Pak to take actions against militants in Pak.
All politicians support Tamils

But the politicians’ action against Muslim terrorist is different from the Tamil militants. They support muslims but oppose muslim militants. They support Tamils and also support Tamil militants. Probably this could have made Mr. Ponseka to call the Tamil nadu politicians Clowns

Bombay Terror Attack

There is no heroic act in these terrorist acts. They are only cowards. That is why they kill unarmed humans. No public should discuss about their skill in carrying out the strikes, the well planned attack etc. But everyone who discusses this attack should loudly say that the terrorists are cowards. It is also clearly known to all, that mighty US could not eliminate attacks. So our Security system need not be blamed for this. But this is not the case with the present government. It is evident from the reported speech of our internal security? minister’sstatement that no time frame can be fixed for the execution of the persons involved in Parliament attack even after the Supreme court cnfirmed the death sentence twice. But the present government needs alround appreciation since it has ordered our forces to storm the places of terrorist attacks. Anyhow my condolences to those killed but they died for a cause. A stern warning by India that we will not negotiate with terrorists. Keep it up India!

DAD IS ALWAYS HERO

Mr. Palanivel’s felicitation function! He has been awarded with Jaycees International Trainer Fellowship. The only man to get this honour in Tamil Nadu and only 4 persons in India got this prestigeous title, he is the 4th to get it.

Who is Mr. Palanivel? If you see a man who always tries to attract everyone’s attention wherever he is and also succeeds in his attempts, whether it is a group of collegues, a meeting with higher officials, or a conference with eminent persons like supreme court judges or lawyers, then he is Mr. Palanivel. He is also my friend. Iam honoured to get his invitation. I am also thankful for giving me a place in his list of invitees.

The one thing that touched my heart is the part of Mr. Palanivel’s narration of his elevation to this level. He said when he searched for his name online (at Jaycees web site)in the internet, he could not find the name ‘Palanivel’ or ‘S. Palanivel’. But only Subbaiah Palanivel. He said this was Godmade. At this place his voice choked. He could not continue his speech for a minute. His body jolted silently due to his crying. He continued. “Enga appakku nan onnume pannala…,. Ippa naan senjutten….,.” (I did not do anything to my father…,. I have done it now…,.) At this moment everyone of us gave him a big round of applause.

The honesty with which he remembered his father and the tears that trickled down remembering his dad has done everything to his father. Mr. Palanivel has given his father a befitting tribute through his tears. This feeling is unique to everyone who remembers his father.

It is always my thinking irrespective of one’s father’s contribution or position Father is the Hero figure to everyone. For me too My father is a real hero in my life. His looks were superb. The photo in which he posed with hat and glasses is superb. Not only in his looks. He is the Godfather to everyone in my family. He headed a family of about 12 persons.Everyone in my family respects him with fear and admiration. He is fondly called as “Anna” by all my aunts and my chiththappa. He is the one who got all his sisters married to good personalities. But he could not see the marriage of his sons (me, my brother) and his daughter. But my Chittappa who is no more now, has fulfilled my father’s unfinished task. My father is also called “Chanakya” among his close circle due to his ideas and knowledge. So my father is always my Hero.

This is also reflected in the recent film “Varanam Aayiram”. This hero story continues as a chain. Now, Iam the Hero to my son. My son Sankar Anand who is doing his B.tech. III year in SASTRA University also saw this movie and expressed his feeling to my wife. He said he choked many times in the first half. When Surya said “Dad You are my Hero!” he too felt that I was his hero. I do not know what made him to call me his hero. Anyhow thanks to him for giving me the title ‘Hero’.

ARASU ALIGANA VINAYAGAR

ARASU ALINGANA VINAYAGAR!

ADHISAYAM! ANAL UNMAI!

In Block-22 Neyveli Township, There is a Vinayagar temple. It is under renovation, There is a Vinayagar idol under the Arasa maram. When the authorities tried to relocate this idol under the Arasa maram, they found that they could not disturb the idol. On scrutiny they found that the Arasa maram has completely hugged the Vinayagar idols lap and legs. The hugging of the root of the Arasa maram is so strong that the idol could not be disturbed..
This is the fact. Now my imagination and fantasy spreads its wings. The Vinayagar is hugged by Gooddes Parvathi (The peepal tree) as if consoling the vinayagar for not getting married after waiting so long on the banks of river under peepal tree. This vinayagar idol is also named ARASU ALINGANA VINAYAGAR! All devotees irrespective of their caste creed and religion can hug this idol and the vinayagar will give the needed consolation to the devotees who hug it as the peepal amma consoles the vinayagar.

COME AND HUG THE “ARASU ALINGANA VINAYAGAR” GET CONSLOED AND ALSO BLESSED.

First Name?

Ist day in my blog. My first brush with the language English itself is interesting.

When I opened my account in Google I was prompted to give my first name. I have only one name that is the first and last name. But in most of the applications and forms this provision is made. I thought I would leave it blank. But the site did not allow me proceed. It said that First name can not be left blank. I thought it was the expansion of my initial. So I gave my father’s name (Seshan) as the First name. After all the rituals the web page portrayed a welcome message.”Welcome Mr. Seshan”. The web site welcomed my father who is living in the other world.. This is the problem faced by every south Indian. We do not have first name. The name given to us by our parents first, is the only name till we breathe our last.
